Tyson Foods to Donate Chicken to Atlanta’s Hospitality and Culinary Arts Academy of Redan High School

Tyson Foods, Inc. (NYSE: TSN) today announced October 20 that it will donate more than 10,000 pounds of chicken to three metro Atlanta organizations. The donation supports two principles important to Tyson: hunger relief and the advancement of foodservice. Beneficiaries of the donation include the Atlanta Community Food Bank, the Redan High School Culinary Program and Teens at Work.

Tyson will provide a base donation of 10,000 pounds of frozen chicken, with 5,000 pounds benefitting the Atlanta Community Food Bank, 2,500 pounds for Teens at Work and 2,500 pounds for the Hospitality and Culinary Arts Academy of Redan High School.

Tyson Foods has donated more than 77 million pounds of food to hunger relief and disaster-relief organizations nationwide since 2000. In September, the company marked its 10th anniversary of active support for hunger relief nationwide with 750,000 pounds in food donations to 20 food banks in 20 states across the country.

Founded in 1979, the Atlanta Community Food Bank distributes nearly 2 million pounds of food and other donated grocery items each month to more than 700 nonprofit partner agencies in 38 counties in metro Atlanta and North Georgia. www.acfb.org.
