Sharon Olson was elected to treasurer of the Les Dames d’Escoffier International (LDEI), an international organization of over 2,300 women leaders in food, beverage and hospitality whose mission is education and philanthropy.
Olson is executive director of Culinary Visions® Panel and founder of its parent company Olson Communications, Inc., a certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE). Prior to this LDEI Board appointment, she served as secretary in 2014. She has also served on the executive board of Les Dames d’Escoffier Chicago for six years, including two years as president. She brings over 35 years of experience in foodservice marketing, strategic planning and business management and holds a BA degree in marketing communications from Western Illinois University and an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management.
The LDEI Board fosters the growth and success of the organization by supporting the development of new and existing chapters, facilitating effective communication, connectivity and education among LDEI members. The board assists in planning the annual LDEI conference slated for October 11-14, 2018, Seattle, WA.
LDEI is an international organization of women leaders who create a supportive culture in their communities to achieve excellence in the food, beverage, and hospitality professions.
