CAFE Update April 20, 2020

21 April 2020

CAFEvision

CAFÉ has a terrific library of on-line educational materials AND we are looking to add to them and feature them on a regular basis so that you can keep up to date with techniques and information.

Added bonus: you can send your students to watch these short, but informative videos or print off the resource guides for future use.

CAFÉ will keep researching what’s out there and will publish our findings and recommendations as part of our commitment to link the foodservice industry with the foodservice classroom.

This week’s features:

  • Freshpoint, a division of Sysco, has assembled an incredible list of industry resources. Go to https://freshpoint.com/produce-essentials/additional-resources/industry-links/
  • Chef Brian Peffley, CEPC, CCE, AAC, has developed some terrific pastry videos that are both fun to watch and extremely instructional. They will hold your attention! Go to YouTube and put in Chef Brian Peffley Baking Demos. You can subscribe to the series to be notified of new postings.
  • Chef Chris Koetke gives you a good 5-minute overview of “What is monosodium glutamate?” (msg) Check out this video on CAFEvision at https://cafemeetingplace.com/food-science

Do you have some to share with your fellow educators? Email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and I’ll include them in future weekly updates.
