Meet a Presenter

As part of our 6th Annual Deans and Directors Retreat, we will feature peer presentations with the topic “Revolution or Evolution.” There will be two Innovation Panels and we will introduce you to the speakers in the coming weeks.

Albert SchmidAlbert Schmid, CEC, CCE, CCA, CCP, CHE...and many more!

Albert Schmid is an author, chef and educator with over 30 years of experience in the foodservice industry and in the classroom. Chef Schmid is the Director of Culinary Arts & Hospitality Management at Guilford Technical Community College in Jamestown, North Carolina.

Chef Schmid will be talking about the Mobile Catering and Food Truck Management Diploma which is offered at their school.

The Diploma provides specific training required to prepare students to assume positions in catering and food trucks. Students will learn the fundamentals of kitchen equipment, tools, basic cooking, menu prep, teamwork, sanitation and safety to meet the growing demand for trained professionals in the food truck industry. Graduates should qualify for ownership of a food truck.

We are still accepting applications to be a presenter at the upcoming CAFÉ Leadership Conference in Milwaukee, June 14-16, 2018.

What are your ideas? Your successes? Your research in effective methods?

If you have an idea or a proposal, please send it to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by October 15 since the committee will start to consider proposals during that next week. The Committee will review your proposal and get back to you by early November so that you have plenty of time to plan.
