AWARD SPOTLIGHT – Technology

Thanks to RATIONAL, we are pleased to announce that the 2024 Technology Award will be offered to individuals/culinary programs that successfully introduced technology in their programs.RATIONAL Logo New JPEG

This Award is sponsored by RATIONAL who is proud to reach out to educators and to recognize their efforts instructing students in the complex world of technology and culinary arts. 

There will be a cash award given in addition to a complimentary registration to the 2024 CAFÉ Leadership Conference in June 2024 in San Antonio, Texas.

Also included, the winner will receive a trip to the Three-day Foodservice Technology Workshop at RATIONAL’s Culinary Experience Center in Rolling Meadows, IL. Airfare, lodging, ground transportation from O’Hare and meals during the workshop are provided. Must be an active Culinary Educator at Secondary or post-Secondary school.

What are your efforts and successes in this area? 

Award Guidelines: 

  • Open to individuals and all culinary programs 
  • Open to secondary and post-secondary schools
  • Entries judged in the areas of quality of design, applicability, replicability, impact upon the college and community, and thoughtful innovation in practice and technique.
  • Past winners may reapply each year for new initiatives or awards.

Deadline for the Award Application is April 1, 2024. Winners will be notified no later than May 1, 2024.
