INVENT THE FUTURE

The CAFÉ Deans and Directors Retreat AND the 2024 Leadership Conference will look at the challenges we are facing in culinary education and what might be in our future regarding training and mastery and enthusiasm for the culinary arts. 

The highlights of the conferences (WHICH ARE DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR THOSE INVOLVED WITH CULINARY/HOSPITALITY EDUCATION) include:

  • Keynoter on the topic of AI, Dr. Tim Dasey, Dasey Consulting 
  • Executive Chef Charles Carroll on the theme of Rebooting The Culinary Environment and Atmosphere to Attract Today’s Workforce
  • Dr. Fred Mayo, well known educator and CAFÉ go-to person on the topic of methods that work (and those that don’t work) in our ever-changing field of culinary arts education

MASTER CLASSES

As part of the Leadership Conference we are offering two master classes on June 19, 2024 from 1:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. Fee is $25 per class. 

Once again CAFÉ is pleased to be working with Guittard Chocolate and Chef Josh Johnson offering the following hands-on chocolate master class: Creative Dessert Spreads

A new hands-on Pizza Making master class is being offered by Real California Milk and Chef Spencer Glenn, Executive Chef, Pizza My Heart, to our 2024 line-up.
