Innovations in the use of Social Media
More than likely our students are glued to their mobile devices for not only social purposes but also for class assignments, research, ideas, information, and general all-around communication.
If your culinary program has tapped into this current phenomenon, tell us so that we can award your creativity as well as recognize your results and share these best practices with other educators.
The Award application should include:
Contact Name for the Award
School (indicate whether it is secondary or postsecondary)
You will need to provide a description of the course(s) you are using social media in. How you are using it. Examples. Plus what have been the results and how you have improved its use over time.
There are no limits to the number or type of social media you are describing as long as there are specifics attached to each example.
The Award Committee will be looking at unique applications with proven results.
Deadline for the Award application is April 1, 2017. 4 copies of the application should be mailed to:

The winners will be announced May 1, 2017, and will be expected to be at the Award Ceremony in Myrtle Beach, SC, on the evening of June 22.
The winner will receive a check for $1,500 as well as a comp registration to the CAFÉ Leadership Conference. There will be two runners up to the prize, each being awarded $500 plus a complimentary registration to the conference. The winners will be responsible for his/her own hotel accommodations as well as travel to the conference. A 1099 will be issued to the first-place winner which will require tax notification at the end of 2017.
